Arabica vs Robusta

Arabica verses Robusta: Most of the coffee we know and love comes from the Arabica plant. It is both smooth and sweeter than Robusta. Even though Robusta is a parent plant of Arabica, Robusta has a distinct flavor profile that most coffee lovers do not enjoy. However, it is cheaper and hardier than the Arabica plant. It also has twice the caffeine! So the better quality Robusta beans end up in a few blends and the bulk of it goes in instant coffee production. There are other distinctions but I hope you enjoyed this sip sized summary!
